Whilst driving there are a number of simple things you can do to save fuel and therefore money!
Examples include:

Planning your route - this involves organisation and choosing uncongested routes.
Avoiding cold morning starts - drive off as soon as possible after starting the engine
Avoidance of harsh acceleration and heavy braking, which will increase fuel consumption by significant amount.
Driving less fast - this burns more fuel
Using gears effectively
Switching off the the engine of your vehicle when you are in stationary traffic
Don't overload or carry unnecessary loads in your vehicle.
Ensuring your tyres are at the correct inflation and at the correct pressure
Only using airconditioning when essential - this increases fuel consumption greatly.
